Holy crap, such a boring week. At least Assassin’s Creed III is coming out next week. I’m green with anticipation. Wait, green is envy. Dammit!
Tomb Raider Box Art Revealed
I look forward to seeing this in more detail on March 5th.
Assassin’s Creed III Pre-Orders More than Doubled Revelations’, PS3-Exclusive Content Detailed
A kick-ass premise and badass commercial will get people interested and it looks like ACIII has done just that. Assassin’s Creed III‘s pre-orders have set records for them, more than doubling Assassin’s Creed: Revelations‘, which could be a testament to how “meh” Revelations was, but people are stoked. Very few games actually generate a reaction from people not so in the know, but ACIII is one of those games I keep hearing about and bringing up.
Speaking of ACIII, the PS3-exclusive content has finally been outed. It’s all about exposing Benedict Arnold, one of the biggest traitors in history. A lot of work (obviously) went into this, with one part being faithful, word for word, in the dialogue. Creative liberties were taken, but Ubisoft stated that it will be pretty accurate to actual events. I always find the decision for exclusive content for multiplatform games to be odd, but this is cool. It’s just a shame that it is locked to one console.
Dishonored DLC in the Works, Lightly Detailed
I found Dishonored to be quite a pleasurable experience, one that I thought wouldn’t extend past the campaign. Bethesda has proved me wrong and announced the DLC plan for such a beautiful title.
The first pack, which will sell for $5 in December, will be the Dunwall trials and will include 10 challenges which are divided up from races, special assassinations, and an arena battle.
The second pack will have players take on the role of Daud, the assassin from the main story, in a story-based campaign. He’ll have his own powers and weapons. The last pack has not been detailed, but both of these last two packs will arrive in 2013.
Count me in.
Darksiders II DLC Coming October 30th
Want more Darksiders II? While I thought it may have been a little too lengthy, the next content pack looks promising.
The Abyssal Forge pack will hit October 30th and will cost players $10 (it should be included in the season pass). This pack promises to have harder enemies and puzzles and will take place within an swampy area.
Harder puzzles is exactly what Darksiders II needs, as I felt like each in the core game was a matter of going through the same mindless motions.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Priced and Dated
It may not be traditional Ratchet experience, but Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault looks to something different at least. The tower defense-esque Ratchet & Clank title will be $20, released on both disc and PSN, support cross buy, and come out on November 27th.
Personally, I’m just interested in this because of the franchise name. I have yet to see much that excites me, but I’m keeping my eye on this one.
